MinistriesView the various ministries at Faith Community Chapel
Worship services at Faith Community Chapel are traditional in format, include a blend of music, prayer and testimonies, and usually last about an hour. The music is planned in advance to include the best of the traditional hymns and modern worship choruses. Whether it’s Pastor Heath’s preaching or Pastor Jeff’s teaching, the highlight of the service is the exposition and application of the Word of God. Children are always welcome in the main service, but nursery facilities are also available. Assistive hearing devices or Spanish translation is provided upon request.
Our senior adults have regular times of fellowship. We get together periodically for a meal, or take day trips to area locations. We also work together, for example preparing materials to send to missionaries.
Young Adult Fellowship
It’s a busy time of life, with family, work, and other responsibilities, and so our Young Adult Fellowship focuses on connection and support for one another. We get together as our schedules allow (usually every 2 or 3 months), we hold each other up in prayer and are always ready to step in and lend a helping hand when needed!
IGNiTE Youth is an active, energetic youth group. Youth services are held at 7:00 pm each Wednesday for ages 12-19. Choruses, a Bible study and discussion, and a game is the usual order of events. There’s always a good chance that we may switch things up and do something completely different, but it’s always Christ-centered and life-changing! The teens are heavily involved in helping with CrossRoad Kids’ Club, our weekly children’s ministry, and on the fifth Sunday of each month the teens minister in the evening worship service through music, skits, and testimonies. An average year for the youth group includes a youth retreat in late winter, Carolina Christian Youth Camp in July, a missions trip later in the summer, and Youth Challenge in October. We also get together once a month just for a time of fun and fellowship, and sometimes we minister to shut-ins or help out with projects around the church. In all of fellowship and activity, IGNiTE Youth provides a place where teens genuinely respect and support one another. The older teens welcome and mentor newcomers regardless of their background. The leadership is always available for counsel and prayer. The relationships built in IGNiTE Youth last for a lifetime!
CrossRoad Kids’ Club
Children ages 3 -12 love CrossRoad Kids’ Club! Led by Barbara Carter, the CRKC service at 6:00 pm on Sunday evening includes a variety of songs, stories, games, object lessons, skits, crafts, puppets, and always lots of fun! Our weekly bus routes bring children from the area, and we engage in community activities such as the Christmas parade. There are also times when we get together just for fun, like having a picnic or roller skating. In the midst of it all, we regularly present the gospel to the children, we teach and model the Christian life on a child’s level, and we just plain love the kids!
